Bios

Lynn Boland received their PhD in Art History from the University of Texas at Austin (UT) focusing on connections between art, music, and science in the early 20th century, with a secondary specialization in contemporary art. Since then, they have served as a curator of the art museum at the University of Georgia (UGA), as director and chief curator of the art museum at Colorado State University (CSU), and currently work as an independent art curator and advisor.

Lynn’s exhibitions have been presented at dozens of institutions nationally and they and their catalogues have received awards from the College Art Association, the American Alliance of Museums, Southeastern College Art Association, Southeastern Museums Association, Art Libraries Society of North America, and others. Their projects have received support from Terra Foundation for American Art, Henry Luce Foundation, National Endowment for the Arts, National Endowment for the Humanities, The Getty Foundation, and others.

After receiving her BFA from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), Katherine McQueen served first as Education Director and then as Gallery Director at the not-for-profit gallery Women & Their Work (Austin, TX). Later, while working as a graphic designer in Athens, Georgia, she helped to curate, administer and direct ATHICA (Athens Institute of Contemporary Art). Now in Fort Collins, Colorado, Katherine works as a custom fine art framer and is a member of the International Society of Appraisers, in addition to her work with Art + Access and Deck of Art.

Lynn and Katherine have been married since 2005 and have two wonderful kids.
