Katherine McQueen received her BFA from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), then went on to serve first as Education Director and then as Gallery Director at the not-for-profit gallery Women & Their Work (Austin, TX). Later, while working as a graphic designer in Athens, Georgia, she helped to curate and direct ATHICA (Athens Institute of Contemporary Art). Now in Fort Collins, Colorado, Katherine works as a custom fine art framer and as an art appraiser (member of the International Society of Appraisers), in addition to her work as director of Art + Access and Deck of Art.
Lynn Boland received their PhD in Art History from the University of Texas at Austin (UT) focusing on connections between art, music, and science in the early 20th century, with a secondary specialization in contemporary art. Since then, they have served as a curator of the art museum at the University of Georgia (UGA), as director and chief curator of the art museum at Colorado State University (CSU), and an independent art curator and advisor. Since accepting the position of Executive Director of Museum of Art Fort Collins in July 2026, Lynn has stepped away from administration of Art + Access and Deck of Art.
Katherine and Lynn have been married since 2005 and live in Fort Collins with two wonderful kids, a mischievous mutt, a small school of goldfish, and lots of art and houseplants.
